It’s just to delicious, the pig feet! In my grandmother’s traditional German kitchen, she would pickle pig and chicken feet! I wasn’t daring to try at my younger age when she was alive though!

Interesting stuff! I ate a lot of pig feet in Vietnam and even the British do love their black pudding!

In Indonesia I was invited for the Eid al Adha celebration (eating together with the neighbourhood). I was observing the animals ritually slaughtered, look at the blood, how the parts were treated and ate what I was given with no problems. I still eat meat. :) I was also eating chicken close to my place, seeing the chickens everyday. I also do come from the city. ;)
Cheers!

There is a saying that goes,”Guangdong people eat anything in the water that isn’t a submarine, anything on land that isn’t a tank, and anything in the sky that isn’t a plane.” In Nanjing, duck blood noodle soup and pig brain is the local delicacy, and just about anywhere, pig trotter or pig feet are served (quite delicious if cooked right, actually).

I do like what I see! Great content! Blogs which reflect on their own experiences get a massive thumbs up from me. Don’t worry, I’m in Shanghai. Sunshine is limited here too :)

Sorry for the all caps…your humor and honesty are just brilliant. I’m really looking forward to reading more of your posts and seeing some delicious foodie photos. I also pride myself in eating anything, anywhere…but there’s the occasional “WTF moment” that happens when least expected. Nice to meet you dear, and please feel free to stop by my blog, Charms of a Gypsy, whenever you get the chance!

Best wishes from Berlin!
