Hi Landen. I hear your concerns. When visiting Bangladesh, I can’t deny that they had problems going on at the time. I have got to the point where I believe anything can happen at anytime, anywhere in the world…so you might as well go out and enjoy it and grab all of the amazing experiences that are there waiting for you. I found the country incredibly welcoming, kind, helpful and rewarding. Please read my other post about travelling solo in Bangladesh to see how I handled the police (because it did get too much).

I would like to solo travel throughout the rivers but I’m concerned about running into the wrong people. Did you have any dangerous encounters or at any time feel threatened? I’m torn because Bangladesh is one of the countries I’m most excited to go to, but it also seems like it has the most potential for danger. I’ve also heard that sometimes police officers will escort you around the city whether you want this or not. Any of your thoughts would be helpful. Thanks!

Hi Alexei! You’re the first to ask about the rest of the trip and I’m glad you have! This year has been a whirlwind of travel and I’m currently back in sunny England catching up with all of my posts – including my Bangladesh itineraries! Hang in there – they’re definitely coming <3

Sounds like we’ve made the right decision heading to Bangladesh. We’re also going for a month so were really curious about what you did for the ret of your trip… but couldn’t find a link to weeks 2-4. Have I missed something or are you still busy writing? :)
