The handout should describe polypharmacy and discuss how to prevent the unwanted effects of polypharmacy.List a variety of strategies the nurse could use to assist a patient with the costs of medications.Explain the pharmacodynamics effects of polypharmacy and aging.Discuss the nonpharmacological therapies that might be useful as alternatives to medications for:1.sleep, 2.pain, 3.depression. Consider the use of variety, balance, text, and images placed asymmetrically, and simplicity in regards to the aging population. Include a minimum of 3 references (at least one reference from a nursing peer reviewed journal article within the last 5 years). Include copyright protection. Citations and references should be in smaller font with references located on one or both pages (NO THIRD PAGE). Save document in a Word document. Your completed handout/brochure should be considered for presentation to your workplace as a tool to be used in tge education of polypharmacy for the elderly population served.
