Topic: The Therapeutic Alliance The general topic of your paper is the therapeutic alliance in family therapy. Choose a more specific topic within that concept. Some possible examples might be: Discuss the pros and cons of the therapeutic alliance and weigh the risks/benefits of working in close with families If you and your family were in therapy, what type of working relationship would you want to have with the clinician, why, and how would your choice of relationship get you to your goals? How can you practice effective, objective family therapy in the therapeutic alliance concept without crossing professional boundaries and encountering other relationship pitfalls? Assess the pros and cons of combining the therapist system and the client system into a treatment team. Guidelines Use at least one professional/peer-reviewed journal article.
